Vasectomy 1972. Right inguinal hernia repair 1995. Right hydrocele repair 2005. Progressive ED since about 1999. Used Viagra from 1999 - 2002 then Cialis until 2007. Suffered left-eye papilloedema in 2007 and right-eye papilloedema 2009. Was advised to not use any PDE-5 inhibitor due to eye probs. Hence the search for alternative ED treatment.
Androgel 5g worked quite well but testicular atrophy is an unpleasant side-effect and it is expensive (not covered by insurance).
Arimidex abandonned due to lack of effect.
    ----------
Changed from Androgel to compounded 2% gel with similar results ie. not much benefit, if any. Pharmacist suggest trying 5% and this, applied to inner thighs and shoulders, gave me an ache in the perineum but still no effect on erections. Blood tests showed a marginal improvement in T but also very high E2 so increased Arimidex from 0.25mg Eod to 0.5mg EoD.
    ----------
I then changed to Sustanon 250 injected every 3 weeks into the quads (sides of upper thighs). This raised my TT and FT levels to almost top of range. E2 now at top of range.
    --------
Further to discussion on the forum, I changed to abdominal subq of 0.15ml EoD (Sept. 2013).
    -------------
In Feb 2014, blood test showed TT, FT, red cells, hematocrit and hemoglobin were all above range so decided to take a two week break.
Reduced dose to 0.1ml EoD. Three months later RBC was back to normal. However, still no restoration of erections.
