To treat acne, try B-5 (Pantethine) 750 mg with 250 mg of L Carnitine, three times per day.

    pantethine
    Pantetheine
    pantothenic acid

Pantetheine is the cysteamine amide analogue of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). The dimer of this compound, pantethine is more commonly known, and is considered to be a more potent form of vitamin B5 than pantothenic acid. Pantetheine is an intermediate in the production of coenzyme A by the body.

    I thank you, dr John.

You have made me study this issue and after my supply of (Nutricology) - Pantothenic Acid
    I will change to:
    advised by you Pantethine

Unles you have a favorite brand, I plan on using:
    Nutricology/ Allergy Research Group Pantethine

    -----------
Hopefully I will be able to satisfy Spectracell, because till now, with ever increasing Pantothenic Acid (now 4/day) I can newer get real good results in that area.

Just to make it more involved, Spectracell is testing for pantothenate.
    Yet another form of B5.

    Pantothenate is vitamin B5.
    pantethine
    Pantetheine
    pantothenic acid

I've got a bit on my back & upper arms - my dermatologist recommended Panoxyl (the wash and the cream) and it has completely eliminated it.

Ive noticed it's also linked with estrogen. Which is tricky because I've noticed estrogen is linked to cortisOl

    Life extension May 2015,
pantethine lowers LDL and LDL carrier protein apoB,
    but no change to CoQ10.
Artichoke leaf extract raise HDL and HDL carrier protein apoA

    //

It will be interesting to see my next Spectracell (Micronutrients and Lipoproteins)
I have newer before made connection apoB vs pantethine.

My 9/4/2014 Spectracel was done while I was eating
    Nutricology Pantothenic Acid, Vegicaps, 90-Count
greater and greater amounts, because my pantothenate was always within yelow band.
I have not made connection at the time, but my Spectracell Lipoprotein Analysis had my
    Apo-B-100=106
yellow band ends at 100 (yellow= acceptable but marginal)
    pink >100-200 pink=too high

    This thread, started by
Dr. John Crisler, Jun 23, 2014
    made me change from
    Nutricology Pantothenic Acid, Vegicaps, 90-Count
    to

    Pantethine 60 Caps by Nutricology
but I had old reserves, so I purchased Pantethine in November 19/ 2014

Just today I had a patient rave on about how well the B5/carnitine combo is working for his acne. And he has been on doxycycline for a long time already.

Ive ordered both products, I have some troublesome ugly sore acne on my shoulders that is becoming very bothersome inspite of nizoral, salycilic acid 2%, and hot compresses.

I can't imagine that those would be dangerous, for any one. I'm using it now, about two weeks and my back/shoulders are clearing. Coupled with a zinc based soap my acne is definitely clearing.
