I thought this is worth sharing. Those of you who've followed my posts know I've been struggling with libido & ED issues for awhile. Very few things have made a difference, including pharmaceuticals. Ginkgo is one of the few that has had a consistent effect on both drive and erections. I notice the effect from the first dose. Here's some science behind it.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20411379

Apparently it increases dopamine, reduces prolactin, and increases nitric oxide. These are all pro-sexual effects. It has numerous other benefits as well, but I covered the most important ones  I've been taking MRM Ginkgo B 60mg twice a day. The only side effect seems to be sleep interference if taken too close to bedtime... but I am a chronic insomniac anyway. Its a winner.

Good to know...I have recently purchased some as well for some of the same objectives (better blood flow to the member, lower BP, improved thinking)...when I start taking, will try to be consistent and look for these benefits.

If you take a PDE5-i be careful as it can increase the uptake of the drug more then what it was formulated for...which might not be a bad thing to be honest.

There are other drugs you need to be careful of as well.

Any drug where grape fruit is not recommended is the same for Ginko.

Low dose Doxazosin does all of this with additional benefits for men as well...it's done wonders for me.

I take 2 mg before bed and wake up with an impressive erection which I haven't seen the likes of for years:)

Thanks for the info. I am planning to try low dose prazosin which is similar to doxazosin. I need to be careful though because I passed out from low dose atenolol... not sure if these would lower bp/pulse as much.

Years ago when I tried Gingko I noticed better erectile function and
warm hands and feet. Gingko lowers adrenal function, so it was not
for me. It lowers aldosterone. Not sure about cortisol.

Take it before bed time and titrate up.

Try it with a low dose Tadalafil at the same time (5 mg).

Those two tiny pills changed my sex life and erection quality in a fantastic way.

Plus, there are a lot of other healthy benefits of both drugs for men.

I didn't notice any drop in blood pressure from low-dose prazosin, and my bp drops easily from relatively low doses of cialis. If there's a weird side-effect that can potentially result from any given drug, I'm the guy that gets it. Prazosin has probably been one of the few exceptions to that rule; pretty much zero side effects at the dose I've taken so far. Seems to be a very gentle drug. I recommend you give it a try at 0.5 mgs 2x day for starters, slowly increasing the dose as your tolerance develops. Good luck!

The rats in your ref above were receiving 5mg per kg of weight. I weigh 80kg so I would have to take 8 gms of ginkgo per day to duplicate the effect. I notice that you are taking 160 mg per day.

Whoops I meant the rats were taking 50mg/kg NOT 5 mg/ kg
