Greetings to all. Hope this finds you well, in command of your health, or at least on the road to improving it. I chose to re-write my initial post as it had a manic vein to it that was not be particularly helpful to anyone. Also the test results are not in units that you use here so bit of a PIA. Great site Dr John, amazing amount of time/effort you have committed to to male health. I am a 68yro male, 6’2” 87kg, still working as a carpenter, with two grown daughters, physically fit, active in my sports. I have had periodic back pain and recent numbness in right leg preventing me from surfing. A lumbar bone scan came up with Ostoprosis in spine. (T score minus 2.8) This was completely unexpected. On blood testing my prolactin levels were 10 times the expected level of a male my age. Total T of a ninety year old. Everything else was in the normal range except I’ve always been somewhat anemic. I suspect what is labeled "normal range" should NOT be taken at face value. From what I’ve red there seems to be a correlation between my historic health problems and my current status. 1. IBS IBD, malabsorbtion. 2. Iron overloading 3. Low to non-existent sex drive. (20yrs) 4. Lethargy, tired but wired. 5. Current high prolactin and Ostioproritic condition. 6. Frequent headaches on waking 7. Gut fat developing. 8. Anxious, disposition (worsening) Just wondering if there is anyone else out there with a similar MO to swap notes, offer encouragement etc ? All the best R Regardless, I will post results, conclusions, treatments ….FWIW.
