We have all seen the ads for this, they are everywhere and all promise "porn star" loads. It's a load allright, but not the kind I am looking for. Seriously guy's, what DOES work? I'm certain that hydration plays a significant role as well as amino acids, but who among us has any REAL evidence of anything actualy working?

A search of the subject leads to a thousand different snake oil products and very little actual science.

Does being on TRT have an effect one way or the other? I would love to hear feedback on anyone's REAL experience on this. Has it affected your ejaculation volume at all?

My wife and I are like bunnies, maybe I need to go longer between having sex?

Anyway, this is the best info I found and it was posted by a guy who doesnt seem to have a tendency towards bullshit... my kind of guy. Have a read and post your thoughts if you would.

Of all the various aspects of the male human body, few are as variable from individual to individual as semen. The color, texture, and quantity — not to mention the force of ejaculation — vary greatly. Based on outward appearance we are all amazingly similar: virtually everyone has eyes, ears, a nose, and a mouth in the same place. But semen just doesn't work that way.
Just like penis size, ejaculation volume and force are highly variable from individual to individual. Most guys want to ejaculate more semen with more force.
If you've done exercises like Kegels For Men, yes, it may have increased your distance — but probably not your volume. There's a *huge* variation from person to person with regard to ejaculation force as well as volume, and neither has anything to do with anything important (such as having children).

A lot of guys would love it if they could make like one of the characters in Scary Movie and ejaculate so much that they plaster their girlfriends against the ceiling. And although that won't likely be happening anytime soon, it's believed that wheat germ increases seminal output. Bon appétit.
(Butter's note: I only tried it once and it thickened my load like I've rarely seen before. Eat with oatmeal for better results)

Amino acids, if taken regularly, are generally believed to increase ejaculate fluid. On the other hand, zinc seems to improve both the amount of sperm produced as well as the sperm's ability to move spontaneously and independently. Together with amino acids, this will increase normal sperm count and volume significantly.
Amino acids are believed to increase ejaculate fluid (not the amount of actual sperm necessarily) if taken regularly. Some amino acids include:

    L-ARGININE HCL
Studies show sperm and semen volume doubles, fertility improves (even among men with low sperm counts or poor sperm motility), and sperm health and activity increase with supplementation. Arginine is found in high concentrations in nuts and seeds like peanuts and almonds. It can also be found in chocolate and raisins. Some Natural Sources: Nuts, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, chocolate, popcorn, raisins, brown rice, carob, gelatin desserts, oatmeal, whole wheat bread, and protein rich foods.

    L-LYSINE
Researchers find that this amino acids plus zinc increases sperm produced, stimulates testosterone production, and improves semen quality.

    EPIMEDIUM SAGITTATUM
Sometimes called "horny goat weed," this botanical boosts libido and testosterone levels for greater sperm production for a strong ejaculation.

    ZINC OXIDE
Has been shown to increase number of sperm and sperm motility by 80% to 200% by aiding testosterone synthesis.

    L-CARNITINE
This amino acid is found in high concentrations in healthy sperm. Proven to significantly increase the percentage of highly motile sperm.

    CATUABA BARK
Brazilian herb that strengthens the libido, and nourishes the entire male reproductive system.

    PUMPKIN SEED
Supports prostate health and hormonal production. While they may not readily increase sperm volume, they do enhance prostate health and testosterone production.

    MACA
Legendary South American botanical proven to promote libido, potency and energy.

    Ginseng Y
    ohimbe bark
    Vitamin C, E
    Magnesium
(Butter's note: Lecithin added daily increases amount, not thickness)

Zinc has been shown to improve both the amount of sperm you produce and the sperm's ability to move spontaneously and independently. Coupled with amino acids (see above), this will increase sperm volume significantly.
(Butter's note: Not as miraculous as they make it sound, but regular zinc intake (50mgs a day) does increase quantity somewhat.)

Whatever a pill company's claims are, you can probably do just as well with zinc and lecithin supplements. (Use zinc supplements in moderation; too much zinc intake can be dangerous.) For some guys, these nutrients do have a noticeable effect on ejaculation volume, and they're a lot cheaper and easier to get. In general, stay away from mail-order pills sold by less-than-reputable companies; you really don't know what's in them, and their claims are almost always untrue or at least greatly exaggerated.

    PC Exercises:
While Kegel exercises can help you last longer, they can also aid in increasing sperm volume. There are a host of exercises you can do to keep your penis in great shape and shoot like a champion.
(Butter's note: PC muscle exercises have proven to help reduce prostate troubles in advancing age, but I have yet to see improvements in my ejaculate's volume through this method)

Frequency of sexual activity also contributes to volume -- although only to a certain degree. If you abstain for a day or two, you'll certainly produce more sperm than you would ejaculating every few hours. But any longer than this one- to two-day timeframe, and you won't see much of a difference, as semen reservoirs will have stopped building up a supply.
(Butter's note: True, the body will evacuate excess semen through urine & etc. so abstinence over 3 or 4 days will not continue increase of quantity. Usually, 2 or 3 days should be enough to reach maximum potential... but there are exceptions!)

And for those of you who wrote in asking if semen is a good source of protein, its protein content is roughly equivalent to that found in the egg white of a large egg. So you're probably best off sticking with the eggs.

Consistency of semen isn't very consistent; you've probably noticed that the thickness of your ejaculate can vary from day to day. This is because the quality of the fluid is very susceptible to a number of factors. Diet, exercise and frequency of sex can all dictate how thick or watery your emissions are, as can the tightness of the clothes that you wear (tight clothing will increase body temperature and can thus impact sperm motility.

While there is a lack of supporting scientific evidence, a number of ingredients are said to help thicken up semen. Because of their protein content, egg whites and gelatin are often recommended. Wheat germ, omega-3 oils, selenium, and zinc are all also believed to improve consistency.
(Butter's note: Tomato-based products, soy-based products, oatmeal, and celery have also proven to help thicken the load, at least in my case!)

Vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, and essential fatty acids are found in the prostate in high levels, and are all necessary to produce semen. Low zinc levels have been connected to decreased production of seminal fluids, as well as lower testosterone levels. A healthy balance of nutrients is important for maintaining vascular health as well, which improves your ability to achieve and maintain erections. There isn't a need to go popping extra vitamins if you are already eating a diet rich in nutrients, particulary from fruits and vegetables. Essential fatty acids are found in certain kinds of fish (like salmon) and nuts.

Celery is one of food products known to have great properties for sexual stimulation. It contains androsterone, an odor free hormone which is very inviting for women. Raw celery is the best way to increase that desire.
Oysters are rich in zinc and are know to increase sperm and testosterone production. It contains dopamine which increases the sexual desire.
Bananas, Avocado and Almond or other nuts are some of the other food products which help in this matter.

    lots of water

high protein (problem is i can't digest it) -> makes it super sticky difficult to wipe off

    bulk -> above maintenance calories

carbs -> not sure if these increase amount but bananas are mentioned in post

supps -> tribulus works really good and tongkat ali as well

trt drops sperm output quite a bit, but with above tricks you should have a decent output on trt

celery haven't tried it, i have a juicer but too lazy, give us some feedback after drinking the juices for a week, i heard these really help

This is the one I have posted for yrs.
    =========================================
    Eat Right for Maximum Ejaculate
Nutrition plays a great role in determining both the content and volume of your ejaculate. Naturally, a balanced diet is essential for good sexual health, but the vitamins, minerals and supplements listed below can have a dramatic effect on the volume of ejaculate your body produces.

The supplement L-Arginine is an amino acid the body uses for a variety of important chemical and cellular processes. . .it is also believed to help you produce more volume of ejaculate. 500mg daily and (this is important...) 1,000mg 30-40 minutes prior to sexual activity. Like all natural supplements, you must be patient and allow your body's "storehouse" to build-up. This period takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending upon the individuals baseline health and metabolic rate.

Zinc - One of the nutrients most critical for prostate health. The prostate needs 10 times more zinc than any other organ in the body. It is vital for preventing prostate problems. Unfortunately, 90% of men consume diets deficient in Zinc because most of our food is processed. Irving Bush and Associates at Chicago's Cook County Hospital tested the effectiveness of Zinc supplementation on men with prostate problems. All patients reported symptomatic improvement while almost 80% had palpable shrinkage of the prostate gland. RDA is 15 mg...we recommend 45 mg per day.

Lycopene - is a natural anti-oxident that is prevalent in tomatoes. Recent studies show it to have roughly twice the power of Beta-Carotene and 10 times the strength of Vitamin E, when it comes to protecting and healing our bodies from the damage of free radicals which are the cancer precursors. In fact, free radicals are now considered to be one of the main causes of disease and aging. In a process known as oxidation, they accelerate the breakdown of our cell's structure, thereby damaging the DNA and weakening our immune system. A four year study at Harvard University set out to see whether the five major antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables would have any beneficial effect on prostate cancer. Of the five, only Lycopene was found to have a direct link. They found that of the 50,000 healthy males studied, those who ate at least 10 servings of tomatoes or tomato based products per week were 33% less likely to develop prostate complications than those who never ate them. Researchers concluded that the active antioxidant in tomatoes, Lycopene, significantly reduced the risk of prostate difficulties and improved its function. We recommend 10-12 servings of tomatoes or tomato based foods per week. Do not use or ingest if allergic.

Beta-Sitosterol - is another nutrient that may benefit men with prostate problems. One double blind study of 100 men showed that Beta-Sitosterol taken over a six month period improved urine flow, reduced the size of the prostate and led to subjective feelings of improvement.

Niacin - is important for many cellular processes. Supplementation with extra niacin in your diet will promote increased blood flow to all parts of your body. . .including the scrotum and testicles.

going on TRT significantly effected my semen and ejaculatory force within 2 weeks.

far less force/distance and less volume as well. the difference was profound and came on fast; as well as having lasted since staying on TRT.

Funny enough, Viagra ... no matter how often I had sex, what I ate, exercise etc, it was Viagra
that would increase volume substantially ... Cialis does not have this effect, however.

The problem with viagra was side effects ... blued vision, headache, backache, sinus problems,
and just often felt like hell.

But the sex was great while it lasted ... unfortunately, after a while the V-effect disappeared but
the volume increase remained. Had a few women comment on the volume but it really wasn't
worth all the other stuff that went on with it.

I have a decent amount of experience with this. When I'm anticipating sex (I'm married, but am lucky to get laid more than once or twice a week), I load up on the following:

    Arginine (4 grams or so)
Lecithin (as much as I can stomach... usually 8 to 10 1200mg pills
Maca - don't recall amount... couple of tablespoons added to oatmeal
Tongat Ali - don't recall the amount, don't have as much experience with it
Tribulus - don't recall the amount... maybe a gram?
    Zinc 50mg
    Water... lots of water

When I use the above and my wife blesses me with her oral talents, she often comments on how big my load was and how many times she had to swallow.

For what it's worth, Damiana (an herb) also temporarily increases my testicle size and possibly my pre-cum amount. When I first started taking it, I didn't tell my wife... within a couple weeks she commented that my balls were getting bigger. Big smile!

TRT did reduce the volume of ejaculate, and just over the past three or four years I've noticed a marked lessening of the FORCE of my ejaculate. I used to shoot a yard or so... now I'm lucky to shoot more than six inches. That's likely due to my increasingly sedentary lifestyle, which I hope to address beginning this week.

    O yeah forgot

Zinc picolinate 50 mg works crazy good

Arginine as well i can vouch for

    Gotta try the lecithin once!

Can confirm force/distance is lowered on trt as well. No more ropes! :)

We should not promote 5aR inhibitors with exception of the natural kind found in our bodies:

    progesterone
    GLA
    AA
    zinc

Does anyone known why HRT causes a reduction in semen volume? What hormones are involved?

Testosterone feeds back negatively on the hypothalamus to inhibit GnRH secretion. GnRH (also called LHRH in the early human literature) is needed for the production and release of LH and FSH. FSH is needed for spermatogenisis and LH is what stimulates natural T production. Nothing new there, reproductive endocrinology 101. However, what many people (and most doctors) don't realize is that both the prostate and the seminal vesicles have LH receptors and require LH for semen production. THe seminal vesicles produce about 70% of the ejaculate and the prostate produces about 25-30% (the testicles produce less than 5%).

So without an LH signal, semen production dries up with TRT. That is where HCG comes to the rescue. It mimics LH and helps restore natural seminal volume (among other things).

    Bravo!!!

Very nice work sir. That is just another example of how important LH is and just how far reaching it's effects go. Science is just now beginning to uncover LH receptors in places that were before completely overlooked. There are LH receptors in the adrenals as well.

    The "zona reticularis"

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20646984

I just wonder how long it will be before someone finds a way to supplement LH directly. Imagine the possibilities...

Unfortunately, LH has a very short half life, 20 minutes or so if I recall so you'd be sticking yourself quite a few times per day. Now if they could somehow conjugate it with something to lengthen the half life, but then again that's pretty much what HCG is with the alpha and beta subunits.

Another approach is to pulse in synthetic GnRH which has been available commercially for just over 30 years. The difficulty with GnRH is that the receptors in the pituitary will down regulate if you don't pulse it in, this happened to be the subject of my master's thesis 30 years ago when the stuff became available to us for research. So you'd have to walk around with an infusion pump which isn't very practical, HCG is about the only viable option.

My experience with lecithin is that it makes my ejaculate thicker and creamier. I've heard it makes it taste better too, but my wife never comments on the taste one way or the other.

Thx good info! Was wondering if the soy is too much when taking many pills? Or is there little soy in soy lecithin? Never heard a good answer to that. You do see the stuff in a lot of greens supplements.
