    Dr. Crisler,
What is your opinion about using low dose Clomid (like 12.5mg eod or even 2xW) or Tamoxifen instead of hCG for maintaining testicular size when using T-Cyp shots?
    Thanks

    Good question.

    I think it's a good idea.

In your opinion, what is better for this purpose - Clomid or Tamoxifen?
Would tamoxifen help with estrodiol issue at the same time?

    I favor clomiphene over tamoxifen.

HCG has this feeling of well-being, my mind is sharper, and everything is brighter, for me anyways. Does clomiphene and tamoxifen have these same qualities?

All I can say is everyone is different. You'll have to try for yourself.

Can I ask the same question, but from a different angle - if Clomid, let's say 12.5mg/ED raises T into 400-500 range,
would it make sense to supplement it with a small T-Cyp dose, let's say 40mg/week, instead of increasing Clomid dose to bring T into 700-800 range?
    My rationale here is:
    1. smaller Clomid dose - less Clomid side effects
    2. smaller T-Cyp dose - less issues with E2 (if any at all)
    Will really appreciate your thoughts.

Again, because everyone is so different, you would have to try such an approach.

But lower doses of Clomid are a good idea, as the estrogen-half of the medication is then minimized.

Would adding a little daily Clomid to a Test Cyp protocol make sense for someone with low SHBG to stabilize T levels?

In all these matters, I can just say to try, get labs (so you know what you are looking at), and see how you feel.
