Anyone is doing T injections without supplementing with hCG?
I would like to hear how you deal with testicular shrinkage.
    Thanks

I'm on 100 mg test cyp since June 1, 2016with no hcg. Testicular shrinkage is minimal. I'm 63 in 2 months, and no problems or sides. I'm a patient at Dr. Morganthaler's clinic in Boston and that's their standard protocol.

Anyone complaining about you testicle size? My wife has never noticed. Why are you concerned?

I've tried T-Cyp 50mg/2xW for 3 weeks only, and had a noticeable shrinkage.
i am not concerned so much with appearance, but it felt quite uncomfortable.
I don't want all that hustle with hCG (refrigiration, extra injections etc), so want to hear how others handle this.

I initially noticed some shrinkage, especially in months 3-6. Recently seems to have slowed down and is not noticable. I didn't mention it to my wife, as I wanted to see if she noticed anything.

Seems most guys on the forums are also on HCG. My clinic only gives it if needed. We're certainly done having kids, so that is not an issue for me. I'd wait a while before jumping into HCG, get on it if you need it. Who's your MD with this? Talk to him if you are concerned.

I noticed increased energy first, within first 2 weeks, then libido around month 2. At 4-5 months muscles became more dense and bodyfat dropped a lot, leaning out without any real changes in bodyweight.

Are you working out and doing resistance work? If not, you should. It's a shame to not fully utilize TRT for all its potential benefits. Also, that uncomfortable feeling may be in your head. If you have a partner, wait till she notices. Why jump into more shots if it's really not needed?

Testicular atrophy while on TRT varies by individual, but everyone will have some to a degree. HCG does more than simply keep the testicles from atrophy. Being an LH analog, it activates the LH receptors which are located in other parts of the body besides the testicles. LH receptors have been located in the brain. Most all who use HCG as an adjunct to TRT notice a surge of positive mojo after injecting HCG. Neurotransmitter balance is just as critical as hormonal balance.

Unless you are an individual who simply cannot tolerate HCG for whatever reason, it should be included in your protocol.

I've been off and on HCG a few times due to my MD modifying my protocol. Every time I'm on HCG my cognitive skills improve. I can think clearer and I'm calmer without any anxiety. I learned that without HCG I'm slightly depressed. Not long ago Dr. Crisler mentioned that DHEA is similar and that it improves mental clarity or well being. Since my DHEA was very low my MD said to try it so was put on 50mg daily and that too helped clear the fog and I feel mentally bright as a result of it. I'm hypopituitary so I need most hormones and the 4 hormones that help my brain feel it's best are testosterone, cytomel, HCG and DHEA.

    Glad to hear it.

Try 25mg twice per day. Less chance of estrogenic conversion.

Doctor, can I ask your opinion of Dr Morganthaler's protocol, no hcg if tests are ok? I'm doing well, but am interested in what benefits hcg may have for me. I'm wondering if his protocols are outdated a bit?

Age 63 in 2 months, sex drive is very good, ED managed by cialis, good energy, putting on muscle a bit. Have always lifted, but am getting results for the first time in 15 or so years.

    Thanks Doctor.

No. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my age. My levels have been in range and I don't have any sides.

I am about your age, and after 3 weeks of 40mg/2xW, I just felt my E2 creeping up, and I know how high E2 feels like.

What are some of the things that are sides of elevated E2 you experience?

Cotton legs, general fatigue and tiredness, unpleasant feeling being 'spaced out' mentally.

Got none of those, actually had some of those before TRT. I plan to be on TRT for a long, long time. Thanks for the info, I figure the more I know, the better off I'll be if there are issues down the road.

Right now I don't think I could have had better results for 7 months into this.
